Hello EAGLES!

I am excited to be a part of the Stewart Middle School administrative team and family!

Education has always been my passion. I enjoy working with students, teachers, and parents, in a collaborative effort for continued success for all students.

I have been an educator since 2001. My educator journey started in the Cobb County School District, where I worked for 10 years as a HS and MS Mathematics Teacher (including Basketball and Volleyball Coach), MS AVID Teacher, Mathematics Coach, and a Specialized Instruction Consultant. For the past 9 years, I have had the pleasure of working in the Douglas County School System. My experience in the DCSS includes Mathematics Coach, Virtual Academy Coordinator, and now Assistant Principal!

I graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with Secondary Teaching Certification.  After a few years in the classroom, I decide to attend the University of Phoenix and obtain my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, along with a Master’s degree in Administrative Supervision. Later, I attended Capella University to earn my Specialist and Doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

My motto is “Learn something new every day and share your knowledge with others.”

Outside of being an educator, I enjoy sports, exercising, and I don’t miss an episode of ‘Chicago PD!
