Dr. Hope Wilkins

Education has always been my passion. I enjoy working with students, teachers, and parents, in a collaborative effort for continued success for all students.

I have
been an educator since 2001. I have had the opportunity to work in the Cobb County School District for 10 years as a HS and MS Mathematics Teacher (including: Basketball and Volleyball Coach), MS AVID Teacher, Mathematics Coach, and a Specialized Instruction Consultant. For the past 6 years, I have been given the opportunity to be a part of the Douglas County School System as a Mathematics Coach and Virtual Academy Coordinator, prior to becoming an Assistant Principal at Stewart Middle School.

I graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with Secondary Teaching Certification.  After a few years in the classroom, I decide to attend the University of Phoenix and obtain my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, along with a Master’s degree in Administrative Supervision. Later, I attended Capella University to earn my Specialist and Doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

My motto is “Learn something new every day and share your knowledge with others.”

Outside of being an educator, I enjoy sports, exercising, and I don’t miss an episode of Chicago PD, Fire, or Med!
