Ms. Bunkley's 7th grade Science students got hands-on with science as they created large, colorful plant cell models using construction paper! 🧪
Students learned about 11 cell organelles, their functions, and how each part works together to keep a cell healthy and functioning. By designing and labeling their own models, students turned a complex concept into something they could see, build, and explain.
🌟 Big lesson: Every part has an important role, but it takes all the parts working together to make the system successful!

Stewart Middle School students had an incredible time participating in the One Word at a Time Literacy Pep Rally on September 15, moderated by the amazing and award- winning Kwame Alexander! 🎤📖
Our Eagles enjoyed a sneak peek reading from his upcoming book and were introduced to talented young adult authors Lisa Yee, TZ Layton, and Nikki Shannon Smith. ✨

This is a two-day event taking place August 21-22 at Douglas County School System's Magnolia Room. Refreshments will be served both days.
This event brings parents, educators, students, and community partners together to strengthen the bridge between home and school. Sessions include:
- IEP and 504 Plans: The Transition from High School to Beyond
- Identifying and Aligning Personal Values to Lead Our Families
- Project Green TAPE
- A Scholarship Roundtable featuring the AAFT Foundation, ABWA and more
- A Parent Partnership Charter Workshop, where parents, educators, administrators, and students co-create commitments to strengthen trust and communication between home and school
